During the "Roots in Liaoning" Global Liaoning People's New Year Homecoming Reunion held here, Xu Kunlin, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress, Wang Xinwei, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor, and Zhou Bo, Chairman of the Provincial Political Consultative Conference, held a cordial discussion with more than 200 Liaoning-born guests representing 38 countries worldwide, 21 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) in China, and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, sharing their nostalgia for home and discussing ways to revitalize their hometown. As an overseas Chinese who has lived and worked in Germany for more than ten years, Chairman Wang Heng deeply felt the warmth and earnest care of his hometown. In his speech, he enumerated the pragmatic support provided by various departments in Liaoning to overseas Liaoning businessmen: the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce hosted the Global Liaoning Businessmen Conference, bringing together more than 700 Liaoning businessmen from home and abroad to seek common development; the Provincial Department of Commerce organized representatives of overseas Liaoning businessmen to participate in the Liaoning International Investment and Trade Fair, promoting the signing and implementation of key projects; the Provincial Council for the Promotion of International Trade organized entrepreneurs to participate in the World Expo in Osaka, Japan, promoting Liaoning "going global"; the Provincial Overseas Chinese Affairs Office organized representatives of overseas Chinese to go to Xiamen Overseas Chinese University for training, deepening their sense of nationality and responsibility; the Provincial Department of Commerce also sent letters of support to the embassies and consulates of overseas business representatives, building a linkage mechanism. The Sino-German Lawyers Association will fully leverage its legal professional advantages, use hometown sentiment as a bond and the rule of law as a bridge, actively promote Sino-German economic and trade exchanges and legal practice cooperation, drive more high-quality resources to converge in Liaoning, and contribute legal wisdom and overseas strength to the comprehensive revitalization of the hometown.
